Fitness or Food Friday is now going to be a thing! So, every friday, I will give you the option of picking what you would like to see. Workouts or recipes, meal ideas or fitness tips etc.
Nothing compares to a group workout or personal training in my opinion, but sometimes there just isn’t time. Body weight workouts will save you when you’re travelling, away on holidays or short on time. The workouts posted are quick, and consist of classic movements. The key to a quick workout, with simple movements is to move at an intensity that works for you. The workouts won’t take very long but, should have you nice and warmed up after. And depending on your current fitness level you could do workout one, and two back to back.
Below is a timelapse video of a tabata of jump squats I did while walking bunny. Tabata is an awesome resource as it is quick, and highly effective. It consists of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work to 10 seconds of rest. The great thing about them is that they can be as hard or as easy as you want. Todays 8 rounds of jump squats was plenty of burning for my quads. You can find many tabata timers online or in the App Store. . Feel free to pick any movements that work for you. Try to do the same amount of repetitions in each of your 8 rounds! Have fun!
